About the Speakers
Ms. Samantha Tan is a Senior Associate in the Tax Practice Group at Baker McKenzie’s Singapore office. Samantha advises on both Singapore and international tax aspects of cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, legal entity reorganisations, intellectual property migration and supply or value chain planning. She supports companies in successful implementation of large-scale multijurisdictional projects. Samantha is also well-versed in advising on employment-related tax issues including but not limited to those arising from flexible work arrangements, dual/multiple employment arrangements and termination of employment.
Ms Esther Pang is a Senior Associate in the Employment Practice Group at Baker McKenzie’s Singapore office. Esther specialises in employment and immigration issues in Singapore. Esther advises clients on all aspects of employment law from the start of an employment relationship through to the termination of employment, and other employee management issues in between. Esther’s experience includes negotiating employment and separation agreements, reviewing of employee policies and cash/equity incentive plans, handling employment issues arising from restructuring or mergers and acquisitions as well as employee misconduct issues and employee investigations.
